What's New

New Member Orientation Page

The Guild hosts lunch meetings for new members in order to introduce the Motion Picture Industry Pension and Health Plans. This helps promote the best use of the plans so the members can make better choices regarding their health care and retirement savings.

For those artists that were unable to make the lunch meeting, or wish to refresh their knowledge, we’ve created the New Member Orientation page. The material presented is exactly the same as is discussed in the lunch meetings.

Did You Know That...

… you can help the fund that will help you?

MPTF Every Member Campaign

The Motion Picture and Television Fund has been around for ninety years. It was started in 1921, brought into being by Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, D. W. Griffith and Charlie Chaplin for down-on-their luck movie workers, with the motto “Taking Care Of Our Own”.

The Guild is now reaching out to our members and anyone interested in the needs of workers in our industry, to encourage contributions to the Fund and its programs. Go to our Every Member Campaign page and choose the donation method that fits your needs..

There are few industries in our country that take care of our own the way the Motion Picture and Television Fund does. That’s why it’s important, very important, to see that this ninety-year tradition continues. Please give what you can, even if it’s only a couple of dollars per week.
