Kathy Barrows began her career as a cel painter at UPA in 1955. She worked on The Magoo Show while still a student at Art Center School. She found herself in a situation she enjoyed and learned so much about animated film-making that she discontinued her illustration studies and became an animation checker and scene planner.

Later she worked at TV Spots, John Urie, Filmation, Pantomime Pictures, Warner Bros, Sutherland Productions, Snowball, Disney and Baer Animation.

In the late 1970s she co-owned Fulmer/Barrows and Associates which did educational films.

Art Center's loss was our gain.
