Howard
BeckermanHoward Beckerman worked at Terrytoons, Famous Studios, Paramount and UPA in New York early in his career. He worked on the last Magoo short Terror Finds Magoo. He moved into TV commercial work and established his own studio, Howard Beckerman Animation.
In 1964 he was credited with continuity design on Rankin and Bass's Return to Oz.
In 1967 he was credited as Writer, Animator and Layout Artist on The Trip, directed by Shamus Culhane.
Howard has taught animation production and design to several generations of new artists at The School of Visual Arts and The Parsons School of Design. His book, Animation, the Whole Story is available at bookstores and can be found on the internet.
