From the January 1998 Peg-Board
Cartoonist and producer ELI BAUER died January 7, 1998. Bauer was a magazine and comic-book cartoonist for DC Comics, Collier's, National Lampoon, Playboy and Punch among many other publications. He worked as a storyman and layout designer for Ray Patin Productions and Terrytoons, for which he created Hector Heathcote. He formed a production company with the late Al Kouzel that created Sesame Street spots, commercials and the Winky Dink and You TV series.
