RETTA (SCOTT) DAVIDSON, longtime Disney animation artist, died June 12, 1998. Starting at Disney in 1939 as an inker and painter, Retta became an inbetweener during the Second World War, becoming one of the few females in a (then) all-male workplace. Late in the war she joined the Navy and worked in a Washington D.C. film unit. She retired from the animation business in 1985.
