Retired Disney animator DICK LUCAS died on August 27, 1997. From 1942 to 1982 he worked as an inbetweener, assistant animator and animator on many shorts and over a dozen features, from The Three Caballeros to The Rescuers. He worked on effects animation for The Fox and the Hound and 101 Dalmatians, and was involved in the story work on Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Motion Picture and Television Fund Foundation, 23300 Ventura Boulevard, Woodland Hills, CA 91364.
