1986 Golden Award winner GEORGE "NICK" NICHOLAS died on November 26, 1996 at the age of eighty-five. From 1931 until his retirement in 1975, he worked as an animator for Disney, Lantz, Grantray-Lawrence, Hanna-Barbera, Chuck Jones, Levitow-Hanson, Fred Calvert, DePatie-Freleng and Richard Williams. (He is not to be confused with 1985 Golden Award winner Nick Nichols.)
