From the February 1997 Peg-Board
Retired assistant animator DON SELDERS died December 17, 1997 after a ten-month battle with cancer. Don started his career in the early 'fifties at Disney working on Sleeping Beauty and Lady and the Tramp. He went on to work for MGM, Hanna-Barbera, DePatie-Freleng, and Richard Williams. In the early 'sixties, Don took a break from animation to work as a banker. In the early seventies, he returned to animation as production manager for Ralph Bakshi's Coonskin and Hey, Good Lookin'. During his animation tenure, he worked with greats such as Irv Spence and Rod Scribner and Tex Avery. He returned to Disney in the 'nineties to work on The Rescuers Down Under.
