From the September 1996 Peg-Board
Animator and teacher CLAIR WEEKS died on August 26, 1996 at the age of eighty-four. Weeks, who was raised in India, started at Disney in 1936 and worked as Marc Davis's assistant on Snow White, Bambi, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. In 1956 he returned to India, and for sixteen years taught animation throughout the Far East. After returning to the U. S. he taught at the American Animation Institute and Orange Coast Community College. In 1986 he received the Motion Picture Screen Cartoonists Golden Award.
