Founded by Guild members MOON SEUN and KEVIN GEIGER in 2003, The Animation Co-op is a non-profit network of artists and animators dedicated to the cooperative support of independent animation production. The Animation Co-op facilitates the creation of independent content by serving as an informal hub of association, advice, resource sharing, collaboration and critique. Forums include member gatherings and social events, educational outreach and an online project database.
The Co-op's e-mail list is currently comprised of over three hundred animation industry veterans, newbies, actors, teachers, students, and vendors worldwide. To add your name to the list, send e-mail to subscribe@animationcoop.org, or check out their website for more information.
The Animation Co-op holds regular in-person meetings. Traditional animators who are interested in working on independent 2D or 3D projects are particularly encouraged to attend these sessions, which will feature a discussion of the ways in which the Co-op can facilitate such work.
To RSVP for these events, please send an e-mail to rsvp@animationcoop.org. The meeting venue will be determined by the number of RSVPs, and will be announced the week of the gathering.
